It is easy to see why many businesses are turning to social media to advertise their business. Not only do you have the advantage of being able to reach hundreds or thousands of people at the click of a button in real time, but also that much of social media advertising is free.
Using social media is a great way to advertise, but should it be done in place of other methods of advertising? This is not a simple straight forward answer but if you want to get the most out of your advertising then the answers is probably no.
Social media is great for driving traffic through to your website. If you don’t have a website you can use sites such as Facebook and Instagram to create a profile and share your recent works as well as allow people to contact you, but ideally you would want to have both. Facebook and other social media sites are often great for sending out quick messages, but there may be time when you want to give the viewer more information, therefore direct them to a page on your website where they can find the full details.
